Cate and Cerebral Palsy
Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well and had a great week! Wow, what a crazy week, but I am glad you all could make it here today.
The past couple weeks I have written about Cate's diagnosis of NAA10 Deficiency, but I have not touched on that she has Cerebral Palsy as well.
Cerebral Palsy is a congenital disorder of movement, muscle tone, and posture, and it is caused by abnormal brain development.
In 2016, my family was asked by Nemours duPont Children's Hospital to be apart of a Cerebral Palsy Parent's Speak video. My parents went for a full day of interviewing on a set, and then a film crew came to our house for the day. It was such a fun experience that I will never forget, and I want to share it with you all because it is pretty cool!
Click on the link below (my family's part is from the beginning until about 2:07, but definitely watch the other families stories!):
I hope you all have a great weekend and week ahead! Thank you for reading.
