Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing well and have had a great couple of weeks.
I am so so sorry I have been so absent in the past weeks. My life has been a complete never ending circle these past 3 weeks. I have been so incredibly busy and I had to prioritize a few things ahead of writing entries every week. I am going to be trying my best to post content, so you will have all the Big Little Sister content you have been missing.
What has been going on in my life:
I am a junior in high school in my last month of school, so I am sure you can imagine the craziness of my days. On top of just being a junior in high school, I go to an International Baccalaureate (IB) school where the work load is very intense. I am currently completing assessments and my own designed experiments that will allow me to graduate from my high school next year and hopefully leave with two diplomas (one IB diploma and one regular high school diploma).
As I enter the end of my high school career, I also am now thinking about college. College is absolutely terrifying, but also so so exciting. I am now looking at and visiting colleges (crazy I know!) and this is another thing on my plate.
On top of school and looking towards college, I work two jobs. I am a manager at a local snow cone shop and I babysit multiple times a week. Some days I go to school in person from 7-3, workout until 4:15, and work from 4:30-7. This leads my days and weeks to be crazy.
I also am a teenager and sometimes I just have to be a teenager. I am very lucky to have so many amazing friends in my life and these past three weekends I just have been with different groups of them. I am fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine along the rest of my family, so I actually have been able to safely be a teenager again. With everything going on in my life recently between my family situation, school, and work, I just had to be a kid. I had to prioritize my happiness and my own work and play balance in order to function these past three weeks. This lead me to sacrifice missing a few weeks of the blog.
Although my life has been very crazy and I am really not home often anymore, my blog is being added back into my priority list because wow have I missed it these past three weeks. I love writing my entries and sharing my life and experiences with all of you. So I am working my way back.
An update on Cate: Two Mondays ago on April 19, Cate was finally released from the hospital after 7 and a half weeks. She is now transitioning into her temporary placement before the next step. She is overall doing well.
Thank you all for you consistent support and love even when I go missing for three weeks. I will talk to you soon!
